Consultant – General Adult Addiction Psychiatry – Edinburgh

CPL UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for a General Adult Consultant, NHS based in Edinburgh, Scotland area.

The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in General Adult or Addiction Psychiatry to work full-time and it would be excellent for someone wanting to broaden their experience of outpatient and liaison psychiatry and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The team is well established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues..

Provide consultant leadership within the community Substance Use team, working closely others service within Midlothian’s Integrated Health, social care and Justice building. The Post holder will be responsible RMO for their patients, undertake domiciliary visits, Mental Health Act / Adults Incapacity and legal work for the patients on their caseload. They will be expected to work closely with consultant colleagues, general practitioners, third sector and other teams. Post holder will contribute to strategic development and ongoing development of the local service

Requirements:

• Full GMC License to practice
• Right to Work in the UK
• Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
• Section 22 approval and Specialist registration are essential
