Cpl UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for an experienced Forensic Specialty Doctor around North Wales.

This post is a new full time specialty post (1WTE) to join the current 3 Full Time Forensic Consultants.
The post is full time, comprising of 10 x sessions, 8 of which are DCC, 2 of which are SPA.

The post holder will be responsible for providing psychiatric input for the inpatients resident at a medium secure unit.
All referrals to the unit are managed by a single point of access and a weekly planning meeting.
The post holder will undertake reports as require for the Ministry of Justice, Mental Health Act Review Tribunals, as well as CTP and ASR reports.

The post holder will be based in North Wales and work with the ward and service managers to ensure clinical leadership of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will assist with clinical supervision of the team. It is anticipated that the post holder will assist in training of team members in clinical matters.
The post holder will be expected to comply with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and undertake responsibilities under the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.
The post may at times attract a junior doctor, depending on availability in the training rota.
Undertake responsibilities if approved under the Mental Health Act (1983) as a section 12/2 approved doctor. Routine 136 assessments do not fall into the post holder’s responsibilities.
