Job Description:

An NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Redbridge Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. This fixed-term position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, providing specialized mental health care to children and adolescents in the Redbridge area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Lead and support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and supervision to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure integrated and holistic care for young patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative care models within the CAMHS service.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical governance standards and participate in regular audits and inspections.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
  • Experience working in CAMHS, with a strong understanding of the challenges and needs specific to this population.
  • Excellent clinical leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
