Job Description:
An NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join their team. This short-term, fixed-term position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the mental health and well-being of young people in Sheffield within a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Lead and support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure integrated and holistic care for young patients.
- Participate in the development and implementation of innovative care models within the CWAMHS service.
- Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to clinical governance standards and participate in regular audits and inspections.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- Extensive experience working in CAMHS.
- Strong clinical leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
