Consultant Neurosurgeons
Consultant Plastic Surgeons
Consultant Chronic Pain
We need candidates in the following areas initially – Birmingham, Manchester – however we will happily have a chat with anyone who is interested in the role. Those that have done Medico-legal work previously would be the first choice of candidate.
All experts must be on the GMC specialist register, and either currently hold, or recently held, a consultant based role in the NHS.
It’s likely that a majority of cases will come from Personal Injury/RTA type accidents.
Fees – Usually £200-250 LTD per hour for Fast Track Cases – Therefore approx £400-500 per assessment.
Payment Terms – 90 days
Time Required per Assessment – Approximately 2 hours (1 hour assessment followed by an hour of paperwork)
Medical secretaries will assist with bookings and draft report writing, keeping your admin to a minimum.
The referral would be from a GP or similar. It’s likely that there would be both fast track and complex case types.
